Show Transcript Yeah, it s been said that the church bell tolls for all of us. Some might say the bell now tolls. Concerned for some Catholics about the Johnson and Johnson Covid vaccine, the U. S Conference of Bishops issued a statement raising ethical concerns because the J and J Vaccine uses an abortion derived cell line in its development and production. The letter was penned by one of the committee chairman. So, you know, 1 to 2 bishops within the conference of the entirety of the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. But from there, the Usccb decided to send it to the entire arch all diocese. Across the United States, nearly a half million people make up the Cincinnati Archdiocese. Denver Newsroom, Aug 28, 2020 / 04:50 pm (CNA).- Rehumanize International, a secular pro-life organization, is set to hold its annual conference Saturday virtually, with an eye to life topics such as abortion, assisted suicide, and the death penalty, as well as police violence and torture.
Aimee Murphy, founder and executive director of Rehumanize International, told CNA that the overarching theme of the Aug. 29 conference is that every human value has worth, and an inherent dignity. She said they plan to emphasize this common dignity and discuss ways people can work together regardless of their differences.
“That inherent dignity that we all share is not something that can be taken away, it’s not a matter of circumstance,” she said.
