The programme was titled “Threats to National Security and Unity: Religion as a Panacea or Problem”.
According to him, access by Nigerians, especially the youth, to the loads of “misinformation” on the cyber space has contributed immensely to the present security challenges in the country
He warned that failure by the government to tackle the challenges might spell doom for the unity of Nigeria.
The Kadi believes the internet could be educative, entertaining and informative, but said “promoters of hate and disunity in the country had used it to spread messages of discord and fake news among Nigerians, hence government must find ways to curb the menace before it is too late.”

Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and Nobel Laureate, Professor âWole Soyinka, yesterday warned operatives of the stateâs chapter of the South Western Security Network (SWSN), code-named Amotekun Corps, against trampling on the rights of the citizens in the course of fighting criminality.
Abiodun has also decorated Soyinka as the Super Marshall of the Amotekun.
The governor specifically charged operatives of the Amotekun Corps to operate within the ambit of the law and diligently add value to efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and properties in the state.
Abiodun and Soyinka spoke yesterday during the official inauguration of Amotekun, which held at the Arcade Ground of the state secretariat complex, Oke -Mosan in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has warned newly recruited operatives of the State Security Network Agency codenamed “Amotekun” to work within the ambits of the law.
He said this on Thursday at the launch of the South-West Joint Security Outfit “Amotekun”, held at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Abiodun noted that the establishment of the outfit by the Governors of the South-Western states in 2020 was to checkmate the rising wave of crime and criminalities in the geo-political zone.
