Walsh met his wife, Nicole, at The Arc Quinebaug Valley. “She kept bringing these sad looking cans of soup for lunch,” he says, “so I started making extra food and bringing her lunch.”
Twelve years and two kids later, the Plainfield resident serves as coordinator of Student Services and coordinator of Transition Services for The Arc Eastern Connecticut. Walsh still remembers the first lunch he made for Nicole. “She was trying to eat healthy, so I cooked turkey tenderloins with brown rice and broccoli. I was dropping little hints here and there, and then I finally asked her out.”
