Woolwich Nike missile base sold to Jersey City developer for warehouse

View Comments WOOLWICH – What once was the administrative area of a Cold War missile defense base off Route 322 and Paulsboro Road is getting a second life thanks to the region s booming warehousing industry. The Township Committee is selling about 14 acres of the long-closed base to Jersey City industrial property developer Arbok Partners. The land being sold fronts on Paulsboro Road. Woolwich is keeping another 19 acres behind that parcel, which is the area where the decommissioned missile silos are. The sale, approved in April, is worth $2.7 million. It comes little more than a year after Woolwich put the property on the market.
