Ontario’s securities watchdog is asking a court to freeze assets owned by a prominent Grand Bend businessperson as it investigates allegations of fraud involving a multimillion-dollar cryptocurrency business.
The Ontario Securities Commission, the provincial capital markets regulator, wants the courts to block the sale of assets controlled by Troy Hogg as it investigates “potential contraventions” of Ontario’s Securities Act by Hogg, his companies and other related parties including fraud, trading securities without a registration and distributing secu
