Because the subjects of world war ii and the navy have always been one that ive been fascinated by, and in the book, the burning shore, ive taken a slugly different tact from by earlier work, turning the tide, and that earlier book, i focused on the oceanwide campaign in the spring of 1943 where the allies, after years of struggle, finally won the battle of the atlantic through pure grit and the barest edge in technology.
