New Orleans’ French Quarter Festival has officially pushed its usual spring date to fall, and reports continue to suggest that more major spring music festivals are on the verge of making the same move.
Some major festivals, including the Hangout Fest that takes place on Alabama’s coastline in May, have yet to announce plans, so the trend is far from settled. But time pressure is ramping up: This is the time of year when the spring season usually comes into focus with lineups and ticket prices. Hangout Fest organizers announced in December that they’d provide an update in January.
