NetNewsLedger 4136 Fort Frances – Shortly after 3:30 am on December 21, 2020 members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police we patrolling and noticed a suspicious vehicle and an abandoned property. Officers investigated the suspicious vehicle, established the grounds to search the vehicle and located several items that were in the unlawful possession of the occupants. As a result of the investigation, April Bruyere (41) and Richard Ronmark (42) of Fort Frances have been charged with: 2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule I – for the purpose of trafficking; and 1 Count of Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime. Both parties will attend Fort Frances Criminal Court on January 13, 2020 at 9:30 am to answer to these charges. None of the charges have been proven in a court of law.
