RANCHI: The Jharkhand High Court on Friday deferred the hearing of jailed RJD supremo and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s bail plea in a Fodder Scam case by six weeks.
Though the court did not fix the exact date of hearing, it is expected that the matter will be taken up for hearing after January 22.
The court of justice Apresh Kumar Singh deferred the hearing on the case after Lalu Prasad Yadav’s lawyer sought time to file reply on CBI’s arguments.
Mr Yadav’s lawyer said that he is yet to receive the certified copy of the punishment awarded by the lower court, adding that he has given an application with the lower court and expects to receive it within the next 10-15 days, after which he will reply to CBI’s allegations.
