Delta Kappa Gamma, Alpha Iota State, Michigan, announced that the State Woman of Distinction Award for 2021 was awarded to J-Jay Pechta.
Delta Kappa Gamma is an international organization of professional, women educators. Every year a member is honored who has contributed above and beyond to the organization.
Pechta belongs to Gamma Chapter located in Hillsdale County. She has been its president, is their forever yearbook and Gamma Gazette editor, among many other positions, and has been their Chapter Woman of Distinction.
She is active with the Cascades Coordinating Council, currently its treasurer.
At the State level, she has been the Approve Minutes, Professional Affairs, and Membership Committee chairs. Pechta has held the offices of recording secretary, first vice president, and was State President from 2007-09.
