Lt Governor e-inaugurates 17 Power Projects worth Rs 118.91 Cr Seven new power infrastructure projects worth Rs 10.11 crore were inaugurated in Kashmir to further augment the power supply ahead of the upcoming winter season. The new projects inaugurated by the Lt Governor target four districts including Pulwama, Bandipora, Ganderbal, and Budgam. The projects would cater power supply to approximate 30,400 households. The Pulwama receiving station completed under the languishing project category would provide a reliable power supply to 3350 households. The other power projects inaugurated include the existing receiving station Kurhama in Ganderbal; the existing receiving station Nagam in Budgam and the existing receiving station Wadwan also in Budgam. The three receiving stations upgraded will benefit 6750, 2600 and 4100 households, respectively.

Share Srinagar: In order to digitally connect the Panchayats and strengthen the mode of public service delivery, the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today e-inaugurated 44 Digital Village Centres here at Civil Secretariat. J&K Government is making digital interventions to bring the working of the PRI institutions close to the Government’s functioning and improving the quality of life in rural areas. The new initiative will enable the government to disseminate its programme and policies through a readily available system, observed the Lt Governor. Each Panchayat office will be digitally integrated with higher offices to provide basic government services to rural population using digital technology, he added.

DVIDS - News - SDDC senior NCO hosts virtual professional development forum

9 SHILOH, Ill. The Headquarters, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command senior enlisted leader hosted a three-day professional development forum last week from Scott AFB, Illinois. To ensure maximum participation and to meet COVID-19 restrictions, the event was conducted virtually. During the forum, subject matter experts from SDDC and the U.S. Army Human Resources Command spoke on topics that were in line with the Army People Strategy’s second line of effort, Develop Talent, by identifying employment, education and training opportunities, closing talent gaps and maximizing military and civilian members’ contributions to the Army. “Senior leaders from around the Army took time out to help us professionally, and we certainly appreciate everyone’s participation, making this event not only noteworthy but something we can learn from, record and playback and get better,” said SDDC’s senior enlisted leader, Command Sgt. Maj. Rocky Carr.
