The organization just formed earlier this year. Its a way for students to volunteer and help with disasters and humanitarian crisis around the world. This disaster was an opportunity for them to do mission work right in their backyard. Students are clearing debris and helping any way they can here in the community of evergreen, one of the hardest hit parts of appomattox county. The county is maintaining shelters for people this afternoon at the Appomattox Community center and also at the pamplin fire department.
