Fox Cities Vaccine Distribution Goes “Smoothly” On Day One By Casey Nelson Feb 2, 2021 4:59 PM APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – COVID-19 vaccinations began for the general public over the age of 65 at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center on Tuesday. “So we took the list that we had, and the first 1,000 in were called and made these appointments. Everyone who attends this clinic needs an appointment, and that’s been going very smoothly,” said Appleton Health Officer Kurt Eggebrecht. Between the traffic plan, free parking, and other signage, Eggebrecht was satisfied with the flow on first day of vaccinations. But there were some things they didn’t expect. With the previous groups of firefighters, police, and correctional officers, they didn’t see many people turning up early for their appointments.
