haste hafers we have breaking news on fox news channel. a verdict between apple and sam samsung. the jury finding samsung did infringe on apple s patents for the iphone and the ipad. the court has ordered samsung to pay apple more than $1 billion. our greg jarrett on the story live for us in our newsroom now. how big is of a deal is this for apple. huge as if apple wasn t the most valuable company on earth as of last monday. now it s a billion dollars plus richer. apple originally sued samsung saying you stole many of our innovations for both at that point tablets and smart phones. samsung sued them back saying you did it to us. in the end the jury had to sort it out. samsung claimed they were inspired by apple s products. they didn t steal them. the jury didn t buy it. based largely on internal documents that samsung had to produce showing that, in fact,
