MASERU – The United Nations
Development Program (UNDP) commemorated the International Human Rights Day on
Thursday.
The UNDP Resident Representative
Betty Wabunoha said the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
aspire for improved human rights and seek to leave no one behind. “Protection
of human rights is a collective effort,” she said.
She said the commemoration is a
platform to reflect on human rights nationally and globally and “to increase entrenchment
on human rights based approaches”. “UNDP, OHCHR [Office of the High Commissioner
for Human Rights] and the Global Alliance of National human rights institutions
(GANHI) through their tripartite agreement have provided both technical and

clear the hurdles and promote the domestic and international trade as well as
enhancing export performance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry had
recently embarked on an exercise of launching the National Trade Policy (NTP)
Framework and National Export Strategy (NES) also referred to as the National
