Quilters craft on display for Tulip Time
HOLLAND Even though the 2021 Tulip Time Quilt Show was canceled, the annual quilt raffle is still on, giving those who enter a chance to win the Happy Tulips! quilt with a positive message and plenty of color.
Typically raffle ticket sales benefit a local nonprofit. This year, the Tulip Time Quilt Show Committee is donating the proceeds to the Tulip Time festival itself, in the hopes the festival will be able to return in 2022 after the financial blow of the 2020 cancellation.
Colleen Dekker and Cheryl Zylman, members of the quilt show committee, worked together to design and create this year s quilt. At 53 by 53 inches, Happy Tulips! is made with cotton batik fabric and designed to serve as a decorative wall-hanging quilt.
