PHLPost achieves zero backlog in letter, parcel deliveries

PASIG CITY, May 23 (PIA) Say goodbye to delays in parcel delivery as the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) achieved zero backlog of undelivered letter and parcels in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Palawan and Batanes.
Postmaster General Norman Mr. Postman Fulgencio said that as of May 17, the Area 3 Post Offices transported a total of 214,730 pieces of undelivered parcels to improve the delivery of public services.
Fulgencio also said that same number of people were prevented from going to the post office for their safety especially during this pandemic. Previously, the addressee or recipient has to receive a Notification Card before a parcel can be picked up at the post office.
The Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office) has announced that they have achieved zero backlog of undelivered letter and parcels in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Palawan and Batanes due to the permanent stoppage of the decade old sending of Notification cards since March 23, which causes delays in parcel delivery.
Postmaster General Norman “Mr. Postman” Fulgencio said that as of May 17, the Area 3 Post Offices have conveyed a total volume of 214,730 pieces of undelivered parcels to improve the delivery of public services.
Previously, the addressee or recipient has to receive a Notification Card before a parcel can be picked up at the post office.
