Picture: BALJEET SINGH THE Wadigi Salvo team is aiming for a top four finish at the 34th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament which starts at Prince Charles Park in Nadi tomorrow. Wadigi Salvo proved to be the surprise package of the Fiji Rugby Union Super 7s Series reaching the cup quarter-finals last week. The side lost to eventual winner Police Blue 45-0 and was relegated to the plate semi-finals going down to Ratu Filise 15-7. For the Nawaka 7s, Wadigi Salvo is grouped with Fire, Sydney Bukuya and Nawaka White.

Picture: SUPPLIED THE Lautoka-based Wadigi Salvo Rugby Club has received a major boost with New Zealand Overseas Trading Corporation (NZOTC) coming on board to sponsor a new set of jersey for the team ahead of its participation in the second leg of the Fiji Rugby Union Super 7s Series in Nadi next month. With the sponsorship NZOTC will now take over the naming rights of the team. During the first leg of the Super 7s Series at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, the side lost to Wardens in the bowl semi-final 21-14. Wadigi Salvo Rugby Club president Apimeleki Nasalo said he had been sponsoring the team for the past 15 years.
