Govt. keen on expediting the exercise, which is completed in 45,295 units
The government has expedited the ‘Samagra Parisrama Survey - 2020’ (comprehensive industrial survey) to complete it at the earliest in order to understand their requirements and capture the current manufacturing scenario in the State.
The objective is to provide timely services to the industries in a hassle-free manner.
According to official sources, the survey has been completed in 45,295 industrial units, a total of 54,009 applications are in various stages of processing, and the survey is in progress in 8,714 units.
Saturday placed an order for purchase of 4.08 crore doses each of Covaxin and Covishield for vaccinating 2.04 crore people in the 18-45 age group from May 1. Government Principal Secretary (Covid Management and Vaccination) Muddada Ravichandra wrote letters to Bharat Biotech MD Krishna Yella and Serum Institute of India Limited CEO Adar Poonawalla in this regard. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had announced on Friday that all 2.04 crore people in the 18-45 age group would be given the coronavirus vaccine free-of-cost from May 1. Extensive arrangements are made at the State Vaccine Stores (Gannavaram), regional and district vaccine stores with state-of-the-art equipment for maintenance of vaccines and proper linkage of supply and monitoring.

Synopsis
The ED case is an offshoot of the CBI’s quid pro quo case wherein the pharma firms were charged with bribing Jagan’s firms by way of investments in lieu of the land allotments they got when his late father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the CM in 2004-09 when the state was united.
The case was recently transferred from Nampally metropolitan sessions judge court to ED special court which renumbered the case and issued fresh summons.
