Telangana NRI among others conferred Parvasi Samman Award

Jeddah: Japanese-based Telangana NRI scientist was among the 30 NRIs including three from the Gulf who were conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award on Saturday.
The award is the highest honour conferred by the President of India as part of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Conventions on a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), and organization or institution established and run by NRIs or PIOs.
Besides a known Telugu doctor in the USA, Sudhakar Jonnalagadda of Andhra Pradesh, Saudi-based entrepreneur Siddeek Ahmed and a known community worker and ENT doctor in Qatar, Mohan Thomas and Bahrain businessman K.G. Baburajan – all three Malayalis – were among others awarded the highest honour of NRIs.

RIYADH Almarai participated in the Fifth Citrus Festival in Al-Hariq Governorate organized by the Governorate Tourism Development Committee under Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, during the period from 31 of December 2020 to the 9th of January 2021.
Almarai’s pavilion witnessed a large number of visitors, who visited the pavilion to learn about Almarai citrus juices such as lemon, orange, and kiwi juice.
“In Almarai, we produce more than 2 million juice packages of various flavors every day that reaches 24 flavors,” said Abdullah Nasser Al-Otaibi, head of corporate communication and public relations at Almarai. He added, “This festival, with its remarkable annual attendance, is an opportunity for Almarai to show its natural juices that are distributed in the local markets and exported to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and have a leading market share at the Gulf level.”
