Huma signs off £92m in Series C funding
Huma, the digital health platform, has closed another $130m (£92.3m) in Series C funding led by Leaps by Bayer and Munich-based Hitachi Ventures. The investment arms of Bayer, Hitachi, Samsung, Sony Innovation Fund by IGV, Unilever and the PE fund HAT all became investors, as did former Softbank president Nikesh Arora and Allianz chairman Michael Diekmann. Nourished uses patented 3D printing tech to make personalised vitamins for customers
Personalised health tech startup Remedy Health has raised $11m (£7.8m) after its revenues increased more than six-fold as consumer demand for vitamins soared throughout the Covid pandemic.
The series A funding round values the business, founded by Melissa Snover in 2019, at almost $72m (£51.1m).
Remedy Health owns the personalised gummy vitamin brand Nourished, which launched in January 2020 and is headquartered in Birmingham.
Its customers fill in an online questionnaire and receive a recommendation of the best seven active ingredients for their vitamins. The selection is then 3D printed on demand.

Prominent new investors focused on advancing the future of food participated in the round, including ADM Ventures and Cibus Fund.
Personalized health tech company Remedy Health has entered the kids supplement market fresh off an $11 million series A fundraising round.
New investors include ADM Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of ADM, and Cibus Enterprise Fund. The company also secured follow on investment from Apater Capital and Henkel X.
Remedy uses their patented 3D printing technologies to create personalized health and wellness solutions. It currently has 12 patents in total across hardware, software and material science.
Remedy is best known for its brand Nourished, the world’s first chewy 3D vitamins tailored to individuals via an online questionnaire, and most recently they introduced Nourished Kids.
