15,000 get jabs at camps set up by RWAs in a month | Noida News

Noida: After RWAs chipped in to set up isolation wards during the second Covid-19 wave, they are now setting up vaccination camps in societies. In the past one month, the Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA), the common group for all AOAs in Noida, has organised 50 vaccination camps across several societies. NOFAA members said nearly 15,000 people have been inoculated at these camps that have been organised since May 27 in association with several private hospitals. “Highrise societies have very dense populations, and during the peak in April-May, fatalities due to Covid were very high. We realised that the only way out is to develop herd immunity as quickly as possible. That’s when we started organising camps in societies,” NOFAA secretary general Rajesh Sahay said.

First, the authority has done nothing to improve the quality and quantity of water provided and the diameter of the supply pipe has not changed from last year. It is beyond our comprehension that they have cited an increase in supply quantity behind the hike. I request the Authority to rollback the increase in water charges.” Sahay added that in April, 12 societies in Sector 61 submitted a joint representation for rollback of increased bill and sought extension till July 31 to claim 10% rebate. “However, the water department is yet t
