Itochu Corp. says that it and an investment fund have set up a new company to take over main operations of used car dealership Bigmotor Co., which had been mired in an insurance fraud scandal.
Japan's transport ministry has ordered major used car dealer Bigmotor Co. to halt operations at a quarter of its vehicle maintenance outlets after finding that the firm had charged excessive repair and inspection fees.
