As the popularity of lifestyle vehicles rises in Japan, Japanese automakers are introducing overseas-made models to offer more options to domestic consumers looking for cars suitable for camping and skiing.
Nissan is recalling 699,000 vehicles in Japan and over 700,000 units overseas due to various defects. The issues include a faulty engine hose cover, a defective vehicle control program causing unexpected acceleration, a wiring problem, and a right headlight issue. No accidents have been reported, and overseas recalls will be managed according to local regulations.
