Former prime minister Sitiveni Rabuka says former attorney-general Apaitia Seru was a humble man, whose forte was his humility.
In a heartfelt tribute on his social media page, Mr Rabuka recollected his first encounter with Mr Seru while working as a bike messenger for The Fiji Times in 1963.
“He (Mr Seru) was an inspectorate cadet in the Fiji Police Force and he came to my assistance after I had swerved and fell off my bike, while trying to avoid hitting an old lady who was crossing the road at Cumming St in Suva,” he said.
