Irish quartet sprint to second in world relays Updated / Sunday, 2 May 2021 22:58 The Irish team celebrate after finishing second Ireland s relay team sprinted to second place at the IAAF World Relays this evening at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzow, Poland. The 4x200m team of Aoife Lynch, Kate Doherty, Sarah Quinn, and Sophie Becker ran a new national record to finish just over a second behind behind Poland and comfortably ahead of Ecuador in third. And anchor leg athlete Becker from Raheny Shamrocks said that she was inspired by the mixed relay side, who secured their ticket to Tokyo on Saturday.
