Who doesn’t love World of Warcraft? As far as we are concerned, there is no doubt that it is the greatest MMORPG ever made. With the recent release of Shadowlands, a lot of new changes and updates have happened. But the thing we were most excited about were the battle pets!
Battle Pets have been around in World of Warcraft for a decade. In that time, the pet battling system has only gotten better. Now, with Shadowlands, it is better than ever. Every update introduces new monsters and pets to choose from, and keeping up with the meta becomes a complete necessity.
Pet battles can be a time killer or a way of life in World of Warcraft, including the Shadowlands expansion. If you’re leveling an alt and decide to go through the Mists of Pandaria expansion as part of your questing, you may end up in a conflict with the Wise Mari. The giant fish brings three pets along for the battle: Carpe Diem, Spirus, and River.
You can counter this aquatic trio with the three following pets: Anubisath Idol, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, and Eternal Strider. Beginning with your Anubisath Idol, start the fight with Sandstorm, which will negate any effects triggered by Carpe Diem’s Cleansing Rain. From here, all you need to use is Crush; brute force is surprisingly effective against fish. If this doesn’t kill Carpe Diem before the end of Sandstorm’s effects, cast it one more time, and continue raining down with Crush.
