HOLLYWOOD Bowl’s £400,000 facelift will be fully unveiled at a launch night after major works created plush interiors and shiny new lanes. The Basildon bowling alley has been transformed following the refurbishment, turning the venue into a glitzy hotspot with an upgrade of the centre’s 26 lanes. It includes four VIP lanes offering plush furnishings, as well as a state-of-the-art scoring system. The launch on July 15 will also showcase the upgrade to the eating and drinking offering with visitors now able to pre-order from the in-centre diners and bars. Anthony Hedley, deputy leader of Basildon Council, says the investment shows the confidence the firm has in the town despite the pandemic.
