Published February 10, 2021 8:06pm President Rodrigo Duterte said the Philippines is ready to work with the European Union (EU) days after he accused the bloc of blocking the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines in the country. “I accept your excellency’s credentials as the Ambassador of the EU to the Philippines, Duterte told EU Ambassador to the Philippines Luc Véron who presented his credentials in a ceremony Wednesday. The Philippines and EU share a deep respect for democracy and rule of rule of law. This will serve as a solid foundation for our robust cooperation based on mutual respect and benefit,” Duterte added.
