Getting to Know the 2021 Chicago Blackhawks: Defense

#27 Adam Boqvist – Right Defense •   2019-20 Stats: 4 Goals, 9 Assists, 13 Points, 16:13 TOI •   Contract: Signed through 2021-22, $894,167 AAV, Entry-Level Contract (waivers exempt) •   Synopsis: Starting to get footing at the NHL level. Potential to be the next in line to be Blackhawks’ top defenseman. Lots of offensive potential. Lots of work to do on his defensive skills. Reminds me of Hermey from “Rudolph.” Idk if it’s the Christmas Eve wine or what, but is Adam Boqvist in Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer? pic.twitter.com/or0QbLiSAh #44 Calvin de Haan – Left Defense/Right Defense •   2019-20 Stats: 1 Goals, 5 Assists, 6 Points, 19:55 TOI •   Contract: Signed through 2021-22, $4.55M AAV, Unrestricted free agent upon expiration

West Division Preview: Colorado Avalanche

West Division Preview: Colorado Avalanche The Coyotes are going to see the team that knocked them out of the playoffs eight times during the upcoming season. Share this story Photo by Jeff Vinnick/Getty Images The Arizona Coyotes were set to move to the Central Division after this season to make room for the Seattle Kraken in the Pacific Division. But Covid-19 is wreaking havoc on the 2020-21 season so the Coyotes will be hosting some of their future Division rivals a season early, including the Colorado Avalanche. A few months ago, the Avalanche were responsible for ending the Coyotes first time in the post-season since their Western Conference Finals run years prior. The Avalanche showed the team and fans what it is going to take to succeed in the playoffs.
