Judge certifies murder charge against Martinsville man

Judge Joan Ziglar certified a charge of first-degree murder against a Martinsville man in Martinsville General District Court on Monday. Delano Tomaz Ross, 46, of Martinsville, also known as "Punkin," has been arrested on charges of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felon, shoot from a vehicle to endanger persons, shooting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a violent felon, and reckless handling of a firearm in the death of Antoine Jermaine Preston, 47, a release stated.
