Gregory Gourdet’s Kann Previews in a Yurt Village
Top Chef finalist Gregory Gourdet planned on opening a restaurant in early 2021. Starting later this year, however, he’ll start serving customers Haitian dishes out of a small yurt village set up in the Redd parking lot. Customers will be able to reserve individual yurts ahead of time, with service beginning when Gov. Kate Brown lifts the ban on onsite dining December 18 at the earliest. Vegetarian, pescatarian, and full-blown meaty menus will be available, with dishes like ripe plantain and roasted squash and twice-cooked pork belly. American Express Platinum card holders will have early access to the reservations starting today, opening up to other AmEx customers on Wednesday. [
