had this observation about what is going on. a fuse the press wants to light on fire because it s anti-president trump. they run with it. the analogy i give, laura. if you are batting 0 for 19 and deep batting 0 for 1 or 0 for 20. i suspect 0 for 20. the only thing that gives me any ounce of credibility that they didn t leak it. a whistle blower who went through the process and intelligence officer. that s how you handle it. you don t leak. here s the other side of it. those phone calls are widely circulated. if there was something so uncapitol hill, so wrong, some would have seen it, why is there only bun? it doesn t make sense. some pictures have emerged of trufn trudeau running for prime minister again. the prime minister of canada of him dressed up in black face. it turns out that several pictures have now been released there are at least three of them. last night was a town hall. that s what s making news this morning.
peter strzok, lisa page, and yet another fbi lawyer was involved in all three of these. liquids an email case, the trump russia collusion case, and the special counsel appropriate guillotines at all. what you have here, someone with anti-candidate trump, anti-president trump, and now os in a position where he jumps on mueller s team? any judge worth his or her salt would dismiss a case like this in a second. it is time for jeff sessions to put on his big boy pants and to do what he is supposed to do as the attorney general of the united states of america. or else. we still have another report, the intelligence surveillance act report we are expecting. sean: 18 months away? it s not going to matter at
trump. and then gop congressman chris collins saying this. i can only hope that the democrats do tone down the rhetoric, that the rhetoric has been outrageous of the finger pointing, just the tone and the angst and the anger directed at donald trump, his supporters. really, then, you know, some people react to things like that. they get angry as well and then you fuel the fires. with me, bill krystal, editor at large for the weekly standard and clarence page, from the chicago tribune. clarence, any problems about people speaking out and getting political about this? i think it s inevitable after a tragedy of this sort. i ve been pleasantly surprised there wasn t more of what i call the reflexive rhetoric you expect from the right and the left. congressman collins, i
bipartisanship. but today some political divisions were also visible and on display. democratic virginia governor terry mcall if talking to reporters. governor, in general do you think anything more needs to be done to protect politician s? let me say this. i think we need to do more to protect all of our citizens. i have long advocated this is not what today is about, but there are too many guns on the street. background checks, shutting down gun show loopholes, that is not for today s discussion. but it s not just about politicians. we worry about this every day for all of our citizens. i talk about this every single day. this is a serious issue. donald trump, jr. tweeting, events like today is why we took issue with new york elites glor identifying the assassination of our president. the tight the character who gets assassinated resembles president
comey felt pressured into dropping the investigation into flynn. is that it? there would have to be other evidence besides what we ve seen, and there may well be and other conversations that donald trump had and comey had. but the investigation would concern the president of the united states trying to stop and end an investigation that imperiled him with possible criminal culpability. he also has the deputy a.g. rosenstein and the current a.g. both wanting to fire comey for other related reasons, disarray at the fbi was one of the allegations that they made as well as bungling the hillary clinton investigation and saying on may 3rd when he testified that he would do it all over again. so, that would be a legitimate reason presumably to fire comey. there are so many threads here that need to be put together, and i have confidence that the special counsel and i called for a special prosecutor. i was one of the first to do so.
