Cronon, 43, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, DWAI, unsafe turn/fail to signal, Dec. 14. Thomas D. Demott, arrest warrant, Dec. 14. Scott L. Evans, 36, possession of a hypodermic instrument, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, Dec. 14. Namel Keeth James, 43, bench warrant, Dec. 17, transported to the Oswego County Correctional Facility, held pending arraignment.

Brunswick Man Charged With Arson, Murder

Dec 24, 2020 from Brunswick Police: On December 23, at approximately 0530 hours, officers responded to a report of astructure fire of a residence. This was at 1909 G Street. Once the fire was distinguished by the Brunswick Fire Department, it was determined that anelderly deceased female63yoa,was located inside the house. The preliminary investigation by the fire marshal with the Brunswick Fire Department determined that the fire was a result of arson.Detective with the Brunswick Police Department responded to investigate this tragic incident. As a result of the investigation detectives were able to identify a suspect relating to this incident. William Best Jr. 37 of Brunswick, Georgia was arrested and charged with Murder, Arson in the 2nddegree, and felony probation violation.At approximately 1930 hours Mr. William Best Jr. was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center and released to the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office in reference to the charges listed.
