And that is because interstate 80 was shut down for nearly 16 hours this weekend due to all the snow. It is back open this morning however if you are heading that way beware chains are required from Placer County to the state lines. Heavy hail piled up making a mess for drivers near west burro boulevard. This morning crews are still warning drivers to be cautious. Give yourself a little extra time.
