Waterloo West Names New Softball Coach
When Waterloo West competes on the softball diamond this summer, the Wahawks will take the field with a new head coach.
The Waterloo Board of Education Monday night approved the selection of Adam Dehl to guide the Wahawks program, starting in May. Dehl has served as an assistant the previous two seasons under former Head Coach Ashley Reimer.
Dehl has been coaching softball for 16 years in the Waterloo Optimist program. He also helped oversee the Junior Wahawk Softball program for seven years.
“I am very happy to announce Adam Dehl as our new head varsity softball coach, West Director of Athletics Dr. Anthony Pappas said. I know he will work very hard to improve our softball program. He will be very vested in the work needed to help all of our softball players and teams improve.”

party. i m really going to concentrate on the local part of the race. i feel that our district has been woefully under served for many, many years, first with congressman crowley and now with congresswoman ocasio-cortez. she s done an excellent job creating a national profile but i really don t think she s concerned about what s going on in the district. i think i have a real feel for what s going on in the district and my job as a teacher has a lot to do that. mike: noting ocasio-cortez s 2018 republican opponent anthony pappas won just 14% of the vote, so, robert, what 2020 for different? you have to put this in historical context. since 1927 the district has been firmly democratic except for guy molinari in 1983 and his wife who succeeded him that in 1993. the district which is 49-50% hispanic. this is the exact demographic of alexandria ocasio-cortez. if a republican wants to win
ocasio-cortez finds herself left out of the establishment as tammy duckworth is the latest to downplay her when calling her take over reflective of the future for her community, not the country. i think it s the future of the party in the bronx where she is. i think that we as legislators need to listen to our constituency and get out there. i think what she did what she did the hard work. she was out there talking to everyone of her constituents and that was the difference, she turned out her voters and that reflected the needs of her district . you can t win in the white house without the midwest and i don t think you can go far too far to the left and admit win the midwest. you need to talk to the industrial midwest, listen to the people there in order to win an election. heather: if she s able to best republican anthony pappas in november,
