ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) A man was convicted Monday of burglary, robbery and assault in connection to a home invasion and assault of two older adults in Irondequoit.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office said it happened on March 24, 2020, at around 10:30 a.m.
Anthony Nesmith, 55, was convicted of two counts of first degree burglary, two counts of first degree robbery and four counts of second degree assault for the incident.
The DA’s Office said Nesmith entered an Irondequoit home and stole an 82-year-old resident’s checkbook, and when the second resident, who was 68, walked in on the assault, Nesmith assaulted her too, before running off when the burglar alarm sounded.
