KYLE, Texas The Kyle Police Department has cleared the scene after reports of an active shooter. No injuries were reported and residents in the area are no longer asked to shelter in place.
The incident happened on the 100 block of Brazos Lane, the City of Kyle said.
In a press conference Wednesday evening, Kyle police said the incident, which is believed to have been a hoax, occurred in the Silverado community.
Chief of Police Chief Jeff Barnett said the call came in shortly after 4 p.m. Officers were told an individual inside a home was harming people and making threats to responding law enforcement and the nearby community.
