Makerere University professor Kerali found dead in his bedroom February 19, 2021 RIP Anthony Kerali Makerere University associate professor, Anthony Geoffrey Genmungu Kerali has been found dead in his bedroom. Kerali died at his home at Plot 1, Prince Charles Drive in Kololo in Kampala. The cause of his death is yet to be established. Kerali was a lecturer at Makerere s college of engineering, design, art, and technology (CEDAT). Wilbert Ngira, a relative who has been living with the deceased says that Kerali did not wake up as he usually does. This forced him and the two housemaids to knock on his bedroom door at bout 3:30 pm, but there was no response. He says that they forced the door open only to find him dead in his bed. Daily Monitor Friday February 19 2021 Advertisement Makerere University Associate Professor Anthony Kerali was yesterday afternoon found dead in bed at his house in Kampala’s upscale Kololo neighbourhood, Vice Chancellor Professor Barnabas Nawangwe confirmed last night.  “We shall remember him as a dedicated and diligent servant of the university and a person with a positive attribute,” he said of the founding head of Construction Economics and Management course.  Ms Betty Kyakuwa, the spokesperson of Makerere University’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology, said last night that a nephew found Prof Kerali dead at about 3pm after he failed to wake up.
