It is no longer news that Ogun State is not only the educational capital of Nigeria, but also the intellectual melting pot in the country.
The rare feats displayed by some outstanding teachers and learners who are of Ogun State stocks, displayed their intellectual prowess at various examinations, lent credence to the fact that, education remains one of the biggest industries and one of the greatest legacies bequeathed by the founding fathers of the state.
Premier of the defunct Western region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, once noted a connection between education and development. However, development is measured in terms of human development.

A friend who never misses Platform told me he was excited to learn I would be speaking this morning. I asked, âWhy do you think Pastor Poju keeps inviting me?â He replied: âI believe Pastor Poju enjoys those hilarious cow stories that you tell.â He reminded me that in 2019 I narrated the story of the lone cow on which a family depended that had to be pushed off the cliff to die before they could work for their prosperity. I remember the imaginary cow that had created a dependency syndrome and a culture of waste for the proverbial family. Following circumstances beyond their control, the death of that cow which they feared would be a stumbling block to their progress, eventually became their stepping stone to prosperity.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has donated a two-bedroom bungalow and N2 million to the 2020 overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU), Oladimeji Shotunde, an indigene of the state.
The governor made the announcement during a celebration of Ogun academic laureates 2021, held at the Obas Complex, Abeokuta, on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor also gifted Ademola Adeeko, of Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta, winner of the 2020 African Union Continental Teacher’s Award, a two-bedroom bungalow.

Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun has donated a two-bedroom bungalow and N2 million to the 2020 overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU) Oladimeji Shotunde, an indigene of the state.
The governor made the announcement during a celebration of Ogun academic laureates 2021, held at the Obas Complex, Abeokuta, on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor also gifted Mr Ademola Adeeko, of Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta, winner of 2020 African Union Continental Teacher’s Award, a two-bedroom bungalow.
The governor announced that the state government would also set up an education endowment fund for Miss Faith Odunsi of the Ambassadors College, Ota, in Ogun, winner of Global Open Mathematics Tournament.
