Developer Far East Consortium has been given the green light to start a package of enabling works to prepare three plots for the construction of 240 homes as part of the Northern Gateway masterplan.
Under plans approved by Manchester City Council, work to remediate a total of 8.4 acres east of Rochdale Road is to begin next month and will include the removal of trees, excavation and the installation of a drainage system. The project will take around 20 weeks to complete.
FEC confirmed that an application for Collyhurst Village, one of seven neighbourhoods that make up the Northern Gateway masterplan, would be submitted in the coming weeks.
