millions of playstation users could have had their information stolen by hackers. sony says the on-line gaming network that is used by 17 million people around the world was compromised last week. the company was forced to shut the system down. sky sick martin has the details. millions signed up for sony s playstation network when it launched. the idea, that users could be connected to a social network of other users. they could pay for and download thousands of products from games to films. in the process millions handed over their personal details trusting they be safe. but five days ago users were met with a message on the playstation network website. the system was down. the company blamed an outage, a technical fault, but the reality as they explained last night on their website was that they had fallen victim to a lone hacker who had downloaded the personal details of network users. the scale of the breech is potentially enormous. there are 77 million people worldwide
