Missing OFW in Korea Rodel Aguila Manalo (Facebook/Philippine Embassy Seoul)
In an announcement posted on Facebook, the Philippine Embassy identified the missing Filipino as Rodel Aguila Manalo, of Padre Garcia, Batangas and an employee of Daewa Jangmil Company in Korea.
Manalo was first reported missing on August 16, 2016 shortly after he left his residence in Anseoing-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.
The Embassy said Manalo was supposed to take his flight to Manila for a vacation but he did not arrive as scheduled. Since then, he has not contacted his family and remained missing until today.
A case officer from the Anseong Police informed the Embassy that despite the thorough investigation conducted and the issuance of a nationwide alarm on the case, no positive lead was gathered.
