Chairman Ansaru-Deen Society of Nigeria, Kaduna Branch, Alhaji Mohammed Liadi Olapade, has said that Nigeria’s future is threatened with the constant abduction of students in Nigeria.
Olapade stated this in Kaduna on Saturday during the 8th Day Fidau Prayer for the late Chief Imam of Ansaru-Deen, Alhaji Salaudeen Mohammed Jamiu, who passed away penultimate Saturday.
The Fidau prayer was attended by many prominent personalities and members of the Ansaru-Deen Society from across the country.
Olapade said, if educating the nation’s children and future leaders is constantly interrupted by armed criminals, it means there is no future for the country, as the greatest resource of any nation is its human resource.
At the Ikoyi Vaults and Garden, several Islamic scholars offered special prayers for the deceased.
The Mufasir of Lagos Central Mosque, Alhaji Shakirudeen Abdulgaffar, who represented the Chief Imam, Sheikh Sulaimon Abu-Nolla, led the prayers.
Other Islamic clerics in attendance were the National Missioner and Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Society, Imam Abdulrahman Ahmad, Sheikh Abdullateef Ayinla, Sheikh Sulaiman Onikijipa, among others.
The body of the late politician and elder statesman was laid to rest at around 6 pm.
‘Death, means to another end’
The representative of the Chief Imam in a short sermon before the body was interred, described death as the means to another end and asked every living being to be conscious of the last day.

Ilorin, Dec 25, 2020 Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara on Friday announced a N25 million donation for the construction of an Information and Communication Technology Centre and Skills Acquisition hub in Ilorin.
AbdulRazaq made the donation at the 55th Annual Conference of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) and N2 billion fundraising for the construction of the IEDPU ICT/Skill Acquisition Hub as well as the launching of 2021 Almanac.
The governor also announced another N25m on behalf of his friends from the business community, Alhaji Aliko Dangote of the Aliko Dangote Group and Abdulsamad Rabiu of the BUA Group, among others, in support of the ICT project.
