An upcoming framework agreement between the Forces for Freedom and Change-Central Council (FFC-CC) alliance and the military junta has been rejected by several political groups in the country, from pro-democracy grassroots movements and political opposition parties to members of the Sovereignty Council.

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Aisha Musa El Saeed has hailed women and girls for the increasing role they play in developing science and shaping the scientific future in the world.
The TSC member, addressing the Sudan University of Science and Technology for the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on Thursday, organized by the UNESCO Chair for Women in Science and Technology, in cooperation with the UNESCO Office in Khartoum, said that the victory of women in Sudan in the field of science is a double victory, as it combines academic excellence and overcoming the complex conditions for women s education.
