ROBERTSDALE, Alabama The Robertsdale High School Alumni Association is continuing with plans to raffle off a quilt and is asking for scholarship donations after canceling the 2021 Tea Party.
Since around 500 ladies were expected to attend the annual event, with the current social distancing guidelines in place, it was decided in December to cancel this year’s event, said Evelyn Lowery, who has organized the event since its inception 13 years ago.
“We just couldn’t figure out a way to do it and keep everybody safe,” she said. “We thought about possibly splitting it up and having a morning tea and an afternoon tea, but we just weren’t able to work that out.”
