Leadership group learns about business and economic development | News, Sports, Jobs

Mar 13, 2021 PHOTO PROVIDED Vice President and Business Development Officer for Small Business Banking at First National Bank Jason Bitner spoke to the class of Leadership Clinton County on the steps needed to start a small business. LOCK HAVEN Participants of Leadership Clinton County had the opportunity to learn about the process of economic development by meeting with those who play a huge part in that process. Representatives included Mike Flanagan with the Clinton County Economic Partnership, Betsy Lockwood with SEDA-Council of Governments, Tracie Witter with PPL Electric Utilities, and Dorie Gilmore with PA CareerLink, who all gave an in-depth description of their involvement with economic development in Clinton County.

Ross Library plans March activities, events | News, Sports, Jobs

Feb 23, 2021 LOCK HAVEN March is Women’s History Month. For the month of March, the Ross Library will be featuring “Votes For Women: A Portrait of Persistence,” a poster exhibition about women achieving the right to vote. This display will be available twenty-four hours a day, viewable in the windows of the lobby. Visitors are encouraged to come at any time and see the posters, learning about the struggle for equality. This program is sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution. The first week of March is “Will Eisner Week,” honoring the talented artist. To celebrate the Ross Library will be handing out adult coloring pages! Coloring pages for Will Eisner’s most famous character, The Spirit, will be available in the lobby for pickup, or can be included with book orders by request! Three different pages are available, and each order comes with a small box of 24 crayons!
