And medical officer of health Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, in a Tuesday afternoon media briefing, spoke about improving infection numbers, but that vigilance in the battle against COVID-19 is still vital.

The region’s vaccine total has risen, quite slowly this week, above the 3,000 level.
Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, the medical officer of health, expects a much sharper rise in numbers next week, after three trays, or about 3,300 doses, arrive in the area and become available for distribution. The week after that, 4,400 more doses are expected to arrive.

“Things are progressing as quickly as they can, based on our supply,” Roumeliotis said at his Thursday afternoon media briefing.
