A large mulch fire early Friday morning filled the sky over portions of Central Bucks County with thick smoke, closing schools and leaving fire crews at the farm off Bristol Road for hours in whipping winds and below freezing temperatures.
Warrington officials said no one was injured from the fire. But a plume of smoke rising from the fire at Winding Brook Farm on Bristol Road could be seen across parts of Doylestown and Warrington, triggering an outpouring of concern from residents and drivers on social media.
Lee Greenberg, Warrington township’s emergency management coordinator, said fire crews were called to the property for several large mulch fires about 4 a.m.
