Liberty won a high-scoring 20-16 game against William & Mary today.
There was no shortage of offense in Saturday afternoon s lacrosse contest between Liberty and William & Mary, as the Lady Flames won the high-scoring affair 20-16 at Busch Turf Field.
Liberty s second road victory of the week and third straight win overall puts the Lady Flames above .500 (4-3) for the first time this season. Meanwhile, William & Mary (2-3) sees its record dip below .500.
It was a milestone day for Liberty. Making her return after a four-game absence, senior midfielder Carly White scored her 100th career goal in the first half. White scored four times in the game and added two assists for six points. The captain also had eight draw controls, eight ground balls and four caused turnovers.

The William & Mary Athletics Department announced plans on Feb. 26 for expanded attendance for students at athletics events within selected venues in response to Gov. Ralph Northam’s easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
The revised Executive Order 72 allows limited spectators at outdoor venues the total number of which cannot exceed the lesser of 1,000 spectators or 30% capacity.
Students are expected to gather safely within all applicable social distance protocols.
“We’re very excited to be able to safely welcome students this spring to cheer on their classmates,” said W&M Interim Director of Athletics Jeremy Martin. “We continue to look forward to the day when we can welcome back our entire community to support the Tribe in person.”
